La Colopiere is a very elegant and modernized provençal villa, positioned on a hill overlooking beautiful vineyards. Furnished with Louis XIV antiques, the villa is refined, intimate and comfortable. A wonderful garden with rose bushes, fruit trees, rhododendrons and other vibrant flora and fauna surrounds the property. For your outdoor enjoyment, there is a beautiful swimming pool, a wood burning barbecue, a tennis table and many areas for lounging and dining al fresco.

The villa is laid out and furnished for ultimate comfort and convenience. A spacious dining room, which can seat up to 20 guests, a large living room with fireplace, satellite television, a well-equipped kitchen and one queen bedroom with en suite bathroom make up the ground level. The first level contains two additional queen bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. For privacy, there is a separate, independent guest wing featuring two queen bedrooms and one bathroom.

What to do in Provence
Provence is well-known for the countless artists that painted its beautiful scenery; Vincent Van Gogh was a well-known resident. In keeping with this rich history, the region has many wonderful museums named after gifted artists, including the Fernand Lèger, Chagall, Picasso, Renoir, Matisse and Dufy museums. Provence is alive with local art and attractions, featured at the Ocean Museum & Botanical Gardens in Mondaco; the Perfume Museum in Grasse, the Glass-Blowing Factory in Biot, and the Museum of Arts and Provence Traditions in Grasse.

The region is rich with local festivals—here is just a sampling:

MAY:

  • 2nd/3rd week of May – International Film Festival in Cannes (40 minute drive)
  • Last weekend of May – Monte Carlo Formula One Car Race (1:30 minute drive)
  • Mid-May – St. Tropez: 'Fete de la Bravade', where the bulls run in the streets and there is a typical 'provence fair' (30-40 minute drive)

JUNE:

  • June 13 – Horse Show in Cogolin (30 minute drive)
  • End of June – 2 famous regattas, both in St. Tropez
  • End of June – Golf Challenge International in St. Maxime (30 minute drive) and Kite flying Festival in Hyeres (both 30 minute drive)
