This is the place to be in Capri. Known for its steep slopes and endless steps, this jet-setters' isle is not always easy to navigate. The elegant and easily accessible Villa Faraglioni is just a short walk away from stores, restaurants, and bars and overlooks the Faraglioni—the famous Capri rocks that rise vertically out of the sea, featured on travel postcards worldwide. A short car ride brings you to the center of Capri—alive with the vibrant plants and flowers of the region. The property has two separate, self-contained units which, if rented jointly, offer exclusivity to the entire premises.

The villa is decorated with impeccable taste and offers every modern amenity, combining interior luxury with al fresco beauty. Unit 1 has a fully-equipped kitchen and an elegant living/dining room that leads directly to a pool and gazebo with dining table. There are also two queen bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and spectacular sea views. Unit 2 has a fully-equipped kitchen and an elegant living/dining room with direct access to a terrace with a panoramic sea view. Charming steps lead down to a terrace garden highlighted by a beautiful outdoor lounge area, open-air kitchen, BBQ, and outdoor dining tables. There are two queen bedrooms (one leads into the other), each with gorgeous en suite bathrooms. The units are well-equipped to cater to your every need—with air conditioning, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, stereo/CD, and telephone.

Villa Faraglioni is decorated in chic Caprese style, with an eye to every comfort and accent that will add to your relaxation. Enjoy the easy indoor-outdoor living, and feast your eyes on the spectacular Mediterranean views. While away lazy afternoons in the warm Tuscan sun, on your private sea view terrace, or descend to the lovely terrace garden and lounge. Barbecue in the open-air kitchen and have cocktails at the outdoor bar. The property is divided into two separate units, therefore, when rented together all the terrace's facilities may be used exclusively. If rented separately, Unit 1 will have exclusive use of the pool and the gazebo. Unit 2 has the exclusive use of the lounge area and open-air kitchen. Later on, cool off in a most unusually shaped pool (10 x 3.5 m) and read in the stylish outdoor lounge. A car park is conveniently located on the property. The beach clubs and the famous Piazzetta are just a few minutes away. Enjoy spectacular views of the sea and the Faraglioni rocks—the popular geological formation wonders. Boat rentals are available (typical Caprese boats called "gozzi") from Marina Grande Harbor for day cruises to visit the marvelous coast of Capri and the nearby Sorrento. Day tours can be arranged for Positano, the Roman city of Pompeii, and for the Roman ruins of Villa Iovis, located in Capri.

What to do in Capri
An intriguing island in the Bay of Naples, Capri has been coveted since Caesar Augustus purchased it in 29 B.C. Capri's steep walled harbors are filled with an impressive array of yachts, while fantastic beaches abound. There's always a flurry of activity in Capri's main square, La Piazzetta. Elegant shopping awaits along the Via Camerelle where boutiques are built right into Roman walls. Try cappuccino with cornetto at Tiberio café, or a Campari aperitif at the bar of the Quisisana Hotel.

Take a stroll on Via Krupp, one of the world most beautiful pathways that corkscrews down to the beaches below. Or rent a Riva (an Italian motorboat) or one of the typical capresi boats called gozzi and head to the Faraglioni, where monolithic rocks that rise from the sea, or indulge in an excursion to the Blue Grotto (better during off hours). En route you'll pass spectacular cliffside villas until you reach a keyhole between the rocks. Here you transfer to a small skiff to enter the magical grotto with its otherworldly shades of blue.

Visit Mount Solaro, the highest place in the island (589 meters above sea level), which is 12 minutes by chairlift from Piazza Vittoria or about 1 hour on foot. If you want to glimpse Capri in all its natural glory, Mount Solaro is an absolute must. Seemingly untouched by time, this peaceful corner offers refuge from the crowds of jostling tourists.

Considering that Capri is a mere four miles in length, it's rich with historical sites. Tour the Villa San Michele in Anacapri, a museum with a splendid mosaic floor and filled with Roman artifacts. Most spectacular of all are the Gardens of Caesar Augustus. Be sure to walk along ancient footpaths above the sea—one can't help but be swept up by the soul of Capri.
