Villa Perla secures a superb location, soigné decor, and spacious quarters... perfect for entertaining friends and family! Experience quintessential outdoor dining with this villa's outside kitchen with working oven, large veranda and comfortable patio furniture, impressive infinity pool, and barbeque area. The villa, complete with a lush interior filled with antique furnishings, is equipped with three smaller residences, situated along the same cliff just below the main villa. These residences can be rented together or separately, and guests may enter the pergola area of the main villa by ascending up an outdoor spiral staircase. Two of the three units are complete with air-conditioning and are uniquely decorated.

MAIN VILLA
The ground floor of this exquisitely decorated villa features a large living room complete with a marble fireplace, rich wall paneling, artwork, plushy leather chairs, antiques, and luxurious furnishings and fabrics. An elegant guest bathroom is also on this floor. On the first level, 10 steps up from the ground floor, there is a quaint single bedroom with an en suite blue-and-white tiled bathroom with shower. Walk up 8 more steps and there are two more bedrooms—one twin and one queen—both decorated in spring greens and pinks and surrounded by antique furnishings. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with showers.

Glass doors on the ground level lead outside to a spacious dining area with outdoor kitchen and barbeque, all under a covered veranda where guests can dine comfortably al fresco. The patio overlooks the beautiful infinity-edge pool (which can be heated upon request), offering an enchanting panorama of the surroundings, including views of the Ionian Sea, Calabria, and Mount Etna.

POPPY (RESIDENCE 1)
Guests enter this residence through an independent entrance along a rooftop terrace (shared with Violet). Decorated in vibrant red, Poppy is made up of a bedroom area (one queen bed), an extensive library, a dining area, kitchen, and a bathroom (with four natural rock steps leading to the shower).

VIOLET (RESIDENCE 2)
This two story apartment is decorated in pastel colors. The upper floor, entered through a downward spiral staircase from the above terrace (shared with Poppy), has a sitting area, a compact kitchen with a view, and a cozy space for dining. The lower floor, reached by a spiral staircase, has a twin bedroom with a tiled bathroom with a corner shower.

SAFFRON (RESIDENCE 3)
This cozy bedroom is situated on a private terrace just below Poppy and Violet overlooking the sea. The room, decorated in a sunny shade of yellow, has a single bed with a desk, TV, and bathroom with a tiled shower.

La Perla sits on the cliffs of the Sicilian coast, just under a mile from the town of Taormina. The whole property, over 5,000 sq. ft., features full amenities and offers breathtaking views of the picturesque sea. A nearby beach offers the chance to soak up the Italian sun, and golf is available at a beautiful, 18-hole golf course, only a short drive away.

What to do in the Taormina area of Sicily
Taormina, one of the most famous towns in Sicily, is located high atop Mount Tauro, just above the Bay of Naxos. The magnificent Mediterranean blue bay and the nearby, often smoldering Mt. Etna combine into a spectacular view that can be seen from almost any point in Taormina. Celebrated for its beauty and welcoming hospitality, Taormina is also an important archaeological location with incredible history—it is home to one of the most famous Greek Theaters in the world. This significant theater is host to "Taormina Arte," the town's annual summer international arts festival of film, music, dance and theatre.

Taormina is a haven for tourists, offering many opportunities in the way of hotels, restaurants, bars, discos, entertainment and sports (windsurfing, scuba diving, mountain-biking, kayaking, rafting, and tennis). Take a stroll along the Corso and be sure to stop into one of the local cafés for a taste of granita and a piece of frutta martorana.

What to do in the Catania area of Sicily
After Palermo, Catania is the largest city in Sicily, and there are plenty of intruiging historical sites. There is a thriving artistic scene, crowned by the winter opera season showcased in the stunning world famous theatre Teatro Bellini. For a truly local food experience we suggest taking a trip to Santa Maria La Scala, a tiny fishing village along the cost of the city, for a meal at La Grotta.
