TOUR
1: Montalcino, Val d’Orcia, Sant’Antimo, Rocca d’Orcia
• Visit the panoramic Rocca di Tentennano and the picturesque
medieval village.
• Trek the route that follows the course of the river Orcia,
through woods and ancient cottages - enjoy breathtaking views
of the Castle of Ripa d’Orcia, of the valley, and the volcano of Monte Amiata.
• Tuscan snack in Pian di Meta, under a secular oak-tree,
including Pienza cheese, Tuscan bread and bruschetta.
Trek by the river and through the vineyards of the mythical Brunello
and of the Rosso di Montalcino.
• Lunch at a typical Tuscan restaurant.
• Visit the marvellous Romanic Abbey of Sant’Antimo
founded in 781 by Charlemagne.
• Transfer to Montalcino OR walk part of the journey between
Sant’Antimo and Montalcino, along the ancient Via
Francigena, following the traces of the pilgrims.
• Visit the town of Montalcino, including the Fortress (c. 1361) in the medieval historical center.

2: Explore the “Chianti Classico," castles, and wine cellars in the midst of the green Tuscan hills
• Trek the route through Chianti pathways, enjoy historical
sites, and medieval ruins.
• Reach the peak of Chianti hills at Monte Muro and Montegrossi to visit the evocative ruins of the
castle and abbey at Coltibuono.
• Lunch at the restaurant Badia a Coltibuono
(the chef is a direct descendant of the Medici family!)
• Visit the historical cellars where the classic Chianti
“Badia a Coltibuono” is mellowed. Shop at a genuine
Tuscan gourmet and local art store.

3: Monte Uliveto Maggiore to Buonconvento and the Sienese Clays
(Crete Senesi)
• Walk down Siena Clays pathways. Along the walk, breathtaking
views of the open landscapes seemingly taken from a Renaissance
painting. Magnificent vistas of vertical sandy cliffs and cornfields, woods and monumental trees.
• Walk down to Buonconvento.
• Lunch at a typical Tuscan restaurant.
• Leisure afternoon walk to Bibbiano village and admire
its castle.
• Take picturesque country roads towards the
historical site of Badia Ardenga and proceed to visit the beautiful
village of Asciano in the heart of the Sienese Clays.
*The above tours are based on the location of the
villas. The routes are medium-level in difficulty (some hard
slopes in selected locations such as Chianti). Tours can be
customized for the group’s requirements.
